PNSB, Gagasan Nadi Cergas preview Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong ahead of handover

SHAH ALAM (Aug 1): More than 25,300 Rumah Idaman units are in the process of securing planning permission and building plan approvals from local authorities, while future Rumah Idaman projects will consist of around 39,000 units across 24 projects, according to PNSB Construction Sdn Bhd head Wan Afnizam Wan Moran. PNSB Construction is a subsidiary of Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd.

Speaking to the media after the media preview of the recently completed Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong in Selangor on Friday, he added that 8,352 units are under construction across nine projects in Petaling, Sabak Bernam, Gombak and Sepang. These plans go well with Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari’s announcement last year of the state government’s aim to build 60,000 affordable housing units under the Rumah Idaman initiative by 2027.

As of August 2025, four projects — Idaman Abadi in Hulu Langat, Idaman BSP in Kuala Langat, Idaman Melur in Sepang and Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong — have been completed by PNSB. A total of 6,079 Rumah Idaman units have been handed over to buyers.

Meanwhile, PNSB and Gagasan Nadi Cergas Bhd (KL:NADIBHD) hosted a media preview of Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong on Friday ahead of the official key handover ceremony on Aug 8, which will be officiated by Amirudin.

“This development offers 1,260 units, launched in 2022. We received an overwhelming response with about 6,000 applications, far exceeding the available units. This shows the strong demand for well-designed affordable homes in strategic locations,” Wan Afnizam said.

“The Idaman series is aimed primarily at the M40 group, which often struggles with being income trapped, unable to afford luxury homes but also not qualifying for lower-cost housing. Our homes provide a balance of affordability and quality.”

Gagasan Nadi Cergas sales and marketing manager Ryan Yong additionally added that most of the buyers consisted of first-time homebuyers, younger couples and younger families.

The 10.5-acre development comprises 1,260 residential units in three residential blocks and a parking building. All units come with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a minimum built-up of 1,000 sq ft and are priced at RM250,000. Each unit is semi-furnished, featuring air-conditioning, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, televisions, refrigerators, water heaters and two parking bays.

Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong is positioned as affordable housing that provides the same facilities as a condominium, with a swimming pool, gymnasium, rooftop garden, children’s play areas, a community garden, kindergarten, jogging track and a badminton court. The development will also have a three-tier security system.
